What's new
What has changed in Backtest Lab, newest first. An idea, or something missing? Tell us: that's what decides what comes next.
November 2026
- Backtest Lab in English
The whole site also exists in English, under /en: FR / EN button at the top of every page. The AI answers in the site's language.
- Telegram alerts
The Trader and Pro plans get their strategies' signals on Telegram, at the close of each candle.
- Top-ups
When the monthly quota runs out, a top-up adds backtests or AI translations without waiting for next month. Credits don't expire.
- FTMO, FundedNext and The5ers
The Prop firm challenge tab replays your strategy with the rules of these three prop firms: pass or fail over your period, chances of passing, attempts and fees to expect, price, profit split, rules on announcements, the weekend and leverage.
- Economic announcement days
The Analysis tab compares your trades open on Fed or ECB decision days, or on US inflation (CPI) and jobs (NFP) releases, with the other days. The trade list flags the ones concerned.
- Day trader levels
High and low of a time range (opening range, overnight range), last week's high and low, pivot points and Camarilla.
- New indicators
Supertrend, Parabolic SAR, Ichimoku, Keltner Channels, squeeze, Bollinger %B and width, Choppiness, OBV, MFI and z-score.
- Candle patterns
Inside bar, engulfing, pin bar and narrowest candle (NR7), usable in the rules and understood by the AI.
- Six new templates
Turtles, pullback to the 21 EMA, breakout after a squeeze, Nasdaq opening range, previous day false breakout and Camarilla to the pivot.
October 2026
- Analysis tab
Your trades grouped by hour, day, side and exit, with the groups that lose throughout the test, and what each trade's worst and best moments say about your stop and your exits.
- Risk tab
Your trades replayed at 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 3% and 5% risk per trade: drawdown to expect, losing streaks, Kelly criterion and the weight of fees on the breakeven win rate.
